| Current Opening: General Manager at Eugene Swim & Tennis Founded in 1961, Eugene Swim & Tennis Club is the largest tennis facility in the Pacific Northwest. With 17 tennis courts and other sports and fitness amenities, it is a busy tennis and social club servicing Eugene, Springfield and Lane County, Oregon. The General Manager will oversee all of the day-to-day operations and strategic activities of ESTC. This will include: Providing leadership and direction to 40+ part & full-time employees, vendors and consultants Reviewing finances, developing budgets, and the responsibility to keep ESTC financially healthy Keeping abreast of national club trends regarding fees, programs, services, and marketing strategies Ensuring ESTC communications methods (signage, e-mail, correspondence, e-newsletters. press releases, etc) are superior to ensure best internal, member, industry and community communications Representing ESTC to local and tennis communities as well as to service providers, vendors, and local businesses and community organizations Qualifications Clear understanding of the important role communications and marketing play in a successful organization Solid grasp of budgeting and facilities management issues; proficiency with current common software packages Superior verbal and written communication skills Desire to actively participate in and/or lead club promotions/events/community involvement Willingness to work select evenings and weekends Minimum five years experience managing staff of at least 5 to 10 people. 4 Year College Degree Required Personal Traits An organized and motivated self-starter driven to maximize ESTCs potential Professional demeanor combined with strong interpersonal skills; desire to work in a highly social environment Ability to work effectively with people of all ages and economic backgrounds Personal history of tennis play or involvement at any level highly desired Compensation: Commensurate with capability, experience and prevailing market trends.
